Nrithyakerala is the leading cultural program organising group in Kochi, with the Directorship of Kalanilayam Sreejith Sundaran. Our vision is to Promote Kerala Cultural Programs and Spread the art forms everywhere. Our mission is to provide every person with the traditional Kerala art forms and culture through performances. Nrithyakerala offers educational/ community programs and workshops and all cultural events across the world .
Kalanilayam Sreejith Sundaran
Kalanilayam Sreejith Sundaran was born on 26th June 1988 in Desamangalam, Thrissur, Kerala. After his basic education he moved to Irinjalakkuda and did a 6-year Diploma in Kathakali Vesham at Unnayi Warrier Smaraka Kalanilayam. He continued his higher studies in Kathakali Vesham for the next 2 years with the help of CCRT scholarship. Disciple of famous Shree Kalanilayam Gopi, Kalanilayam Goipinathan, and Kalanilayam Mukunda Kumar. He is the Dooradarshan Grade artist and has expertise in Kathi Vesham and Thaadi Vesham. He has performed with famous Sri Kalamandalam Gopi Asan, Sri Sadanam Krishnankutty Asan and Kalanilayam Gopi Asan. He is talented in Chutty (Makeup-Kathakali).
He has been awarded Pallipuram Gopalan Nair award and Kerala Vajra Jubilee Fellowship 2021-2022 under the Ministry of Culture, Government of Kerala, in the field of Kathakali. Awardee of a Scholarship under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in the field of Kathakali. He has done Cultural Performance in the event organised by ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India at the University of British Columbia, CANADA. He has also participated in Cultural Performance in the event organized by Hebrew University of Jerusalem, ISRAEL and various cultural events organized in SHARJAH, ABU DHABI, and DUBAI. Now he worked as a CHUTTY (Makeup) artist at NEPATHYA (Centre for Excellence in Koodiyattam), Moozhikulam.
